Moving experts listing
We've removed the "experts" category, as this caused some confusion. Most of the experts are associated with social networking, and we have kept the listing for posterity: MeshForum: experts listing.

After Rhizome
An intriguing discourse from a dissatified member of Rhizome. I note it because we've previously linked to Rhizome as a possible model to look at for MeshForum (at least from a technical structure of the site etc).
Also noted, I learned of this from nettime.

Database of Social Networking Sites
Excellent and very complete collection of resources on Social Networking Sites
Site outline brainstorming
"home page" - quick overview of the Mesh Forum, in the future will have space for sponsors, updates, links, articles, upcoming events etc.
"about Mesh Forum" - more detailed overview of Mesh Forum and discussion of who we are (and whoever joins us), needs/volunteer opportunities, long term/short term goals/needs etc
"blog.meshforum.org" - ongoing discussions, initially about the formation of Mesh Forum, eventually about the overall "Theory of Networks" as well as specific aspects (Social Networks, Companies, Publications, Conferences, Software, Datasets etc), should have comments and eventually be a multi-author "blog" (initially you and I)
"Articles" - current ones should probably be linked to from the home page (blogroll? See blogrolling.com for details?) but also should have a comprehensive time, subject, publication, author sortable archive (if possible), should list both academic papers, abstracts, and "mass media" articles, including blog posts/online writings.
"Books" - perhaps with some sponsorship, probably also with links to Amazon.com (task, once email is working, setup Amazon.com associate id for MeshForum.org?). This should start probably with the "mass market" books such as "Tipping Point", Six Degrees, Linked, Sync, Nexus etc. Eventually probably should have Mesh Forum reviews, links to other reviews/discussions, and links to related websites/author's sites.
"People and Companies" - links to Bloggers covering Theory of Networks or related topics (social networks most likely) as well as links to companies covering the topic. Potentially also links to online information on individual thinkers on Network Theory and/or people frequently cited in this context (Vernon Jordan)
"Reports/Publications/Journal ?" - not sure of the name, but I suspect that in the future we will want a place for longer form articles/content that probably will arise out of Blog posts, but will be longer than most blog posts and/or more in depth. For example, initial ideas that I have would be to write something up that summarizes the idea that academics, business people, and government/political/social folks should and can learn from each other and/or the proposal that the academic theories could and should be tested by business or political people on the rich data sets that are available (voting records from gerrymandering, VISA/MasterCard transactions, etc)
"Events" - initially this will be online, perhaps we can/should use Meetup to set up a meeting (here in Chicago first, but then could be coordinated to occur in other cities as well)
